The Context

A new Naira account feature had just launched, giving users the ability to deposit and hold local currency on the platform. But launching the feature wasn’t enough. We needed to drive real activation and funding quickly. It was during the Christmas period, so user engagement was naturally high and the festive window gave the campaign a built-in sense of urgency and energy.

What I Did

I led the Spin and Win campaign, a gamified activation initiative designed to incentivize Naira deposits during an 11-day window over the Christmas period.

The mechanic was simple: every ₦25,000 deposited earned one spin, capped at 10 spins per day. Each spin earned points that converted to USD rewards at the end of the campaign. I designed the reward tiers with a probability structure that kept high-value prizes exciting and visible while ensuring payouts stayed controlled and sustainable for the business.

I built the full communication strategy across email, push notifications, in-app messaging, social, and community, including A/B tested subject lines for the launch email. The campaign also featured a live leaderboard and a points dashboard so users could track their progress in real time, which drove repeat deposits and daily engagement throughout the window.
